World Heritage sites rated

National Geographic traveler recently rated 94 World Heritage sites. Two Canadian sites ended in the top ten: Old Quebec city (77/100 points, shared 6th place), and Waterton-Glacier parks (73/100, shared 10th place).

In their 2005 survey, Gwaii Hanaas received 88 points, higher than any of the sites surveyed in 2006. Gros Morne and Kootenay/Yale scored 78 and 77 in 2005. Interestingly, Jasper and Banff both scored lower in their 2005 survey, 71 and 55, respectively. Goes to show that lesser know destinations are well worth visiting.
